The ensemble presents a timeless pictorial stroll through the whimsical world of composer Jean Lesage. Véronique Lacroix leads 12 ECM+ musicians and virtuoso violinist Victor Fournelle-Blain against a backdrop of video projections of about forty masterpieces culled from the modern, surrealist and cubist genres. An immersive experience in which Lesage’s music enters into a dialogue with the paintings of great 20th-century masters. A rich sound and visual journey, commented by musicologist Paul Bazin.
