Following the success of Unions Libres in May 2000, the ECM+ is bringing back the four composers from the first event with renewed energy for Unions Libres II. Music will join forces with painting, theatre, cinema and video to produce singular creations for the eye and the ear.
As a prelude to Unions Libres II, there will be a mini-concert with 6 pianists interpreting Six Pianos by Steve Reich, which will inspire the creation of a fifth composer. A lunch-box break will round out this happy mixture of artistic disciplines in a festive atmosphere.
