Xenakis, master of sound and its transformation… This concert will give audiences the chance to discover four works, each inspired by different forms of art, by a true genius of musical architecture, Iannis Xenakis. For his return to ECM+, brillant percussionnist Olivier Maranda offers new performance technics for Psappha and Rebonds while baritone Vincent Ranallo joins him for Kassandra, presented for the first time in Canada. Completing the programme is a new work by Gabriel Dufour-Laperrière for baritone, percussion and electronic device, with staging by Alice Ronfard.
