ECM invites you to discover the world of twentieth century new music icon Arnold Schoenberg, in the presence of his daughter, Nuria Schoenberg-Nono and pianist Stefan Litwin. This presentation by Mrs Schoenberg (in English), punctuated by piano works by Schoenberg and some of his students, constitutes a chronicle of the life of Schoenber during particularity rich and creative period. The presentation will take a closer look at relationships between Schoenberg and his students, as well as with the artistic community of wich he was an important part. Details of the composer's artistic thought-process will be revealed. This conversation between Nuria Schoenberg-Nono and Stefan Litwin will be illustrated with pictures and audiovisual documents. You are invited to relive intimate moments of the composer's life where music, art and philosophy were freely discussed between friends, family and students.
